Roselle Parents Suing School After Son’s Death

ROSELLE – The parents of Jack Hill, Jr. are suing Slippery Rock University in Pittsburgh and the National Collegiate Athletic Association, alleging that they share responsibility for their son’s death shortly after a basketball practice in 2011, according to an Associated Press report.

They allege he wasn’t screened for sickle cell, which contributed to Hill’s death, even though the NCAA began requiring screening of players in 2010 according to the report.
