SOUTH PLAINFIELD — On Sunday, Sept. 15, Oasis-Church-NJ.com, a NJ contemporary, causal Christian church, will begin weekly services Sundays 10 a.m. at the Regal Hadley Cinema Movie Theater at 1000 Corporate Court in South Plainfield.

According to David Butler, Oasis Lead Pastor, “we want to reach this generation in relevant ways so they can experience God in real ways. We know there is a hunger deep inside each of us that yearns for more meaning in life. We believe the answer is found in Jesus. We are a growing church family that welcomes people from all backgrounds, no matter where they are in their spiritual journey. Sept. 15 just happens to be National Back to Church Sunday. Why not bring your friends and family on that day, and experience and awesome time?”

This will be the second permanent location for Oasis Church, which already meets Sundays 11 a.m. at Snuffy’s Pantagis Renaissance, 250 Park Avenue in Scotch Plains. The church originally began in September 2010, with a vision to minister to people who would not normally go to a church. With that in mind, the church decides to meet in less “churchy” places like wedding ballrooms and movie theaters in hopes of meeting people where they feel more comfortable.
