ELIZABETH – The youth members of Community Access Unlimited (CAU), which supports people with disabilities and at-risk youth, will gather at Applebee’s Restaurant at the Jersey Gardens Mall for an Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraiser breakfast on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The mall is located at 651 Kapkowski Road, Elizabeth.
Tickets for the Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraiser are $10. Each ticket includes pancakes, turkey sausage, scrambled eggs and a beverage (coffee, juice, soda or tea). All proceeds will benefit CAU’s Ira Geller Walk-A-Thon, which raises funds to support the agency’s services and programs.
CAU enables people with disabilities and youth served under the Department of Children and Families to live independent and fulfilled lives within the community through programs that include housing, vocation and life skills training and advocacy, as well as others.
Tickets for the breakfast can be purchased at the door or by contacting Kashif Wright at 908-965-6853 or KWright@caunj.org.
