WESTFIELD – School board candidate Jonathan Blitt has decided to drop out of the race, according to a report by the Independent Press. He made the decision because he didn’t think he would have the time needed to be a “productive member of this Board of Education” due to family and work obligations.

Only three candidates remain for the three available seats on the school board: J. Brendan Galligan, Ginny Leiz and Mitchell Slater.
