Springfield Library Announces September Programs

SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Public Library has announces its September schedule of programs for adults, which includes the end of a film series focusing on John Grisham novels, game nights and knitting group meetings.

FILMS

Tuesday, September 3rd, at 1 pm – The Lunchtime Film Series presents the sixth film in the “BOOKS INTO FILMS – JOHN GRISHAM NOVELS” series. Funding is made possible in part by the NJ Council on the Arts, Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, through a grant administered by the Union County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs, and by the Friends of the Springfield Public Library.

Monday, September 16th at 1 pm – The Lunchtime Film Series presents the seventh and final film in the “BOOKS INTO FILMS – JOHN GRISHAM NOVELS” series. COMPUTER TRAINING

The Library will continue its computer training program on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, by appointment. Sign up for an individual half-hour lesson on basic computing skills. Stop by the Reference Desk or call (973)376-4930 X228. Space is limited!

SCRABBLE AND CHESS

Scrabble Night continues – Monday evenings at 7 pm. Bring a friend or meet new opponents! Chess is on Thursday nights at 7 pm.

KNITTING GROUP

The KNIT WITS group meets in the Library on the second and fourth Monday of the month at 10 am.
