Perth Amboy Police Blotter: Officers Make 2 Drug Arrests

Aug. 6 – Police arrested two Perth Amboy men following a motor vehicle stop in the area of Convery Boulevard and Harding Avenue.

Nelson Jordan, 51, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute after officers found 48 decks of heroin with a street value of $480. Bail was set at $50,000 with no 10 percent option.

David Irizarry, 46, a passenger in the car, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Detective Sgt. Carmelo Jimenez Jr. led the investigation.

Aug. 7 – Officers arrested Albert Pafford, 52, of Perth Amboy, after observing him allegedly engage in a narcotics transaction at Fink Park, at Smith Street and Madison Avenue. Police recovered 54 decks of heroin with an estimated street value of $540.

Pafford was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park and within 1,000 feet of a school zone (McGinnis School). Bail was set at $35,000 with no 10 percent option.
