Elks Picnic To Raise Funds For Special Needs Children, Veterans

NEW BRUNSWICK — New Brunswick Elks Lodge 324 will be hosting a picnic on Saturday, Aug. 24, at the American Legion Pavilion in Milltown from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. to raise funds for children with special needs and veterans.

About 15 veterans from the Menlo Park Home for Disabled Veterans, as well as residents of the Veterans’ Home in Highland Park, will be among honored guests.

Tickets are available at the gate at $25 per person, or by contacting the Elks Lodge, 40 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick at (732) 545-0658. Children aged 11 and under are admitted free.

Music, food and beverages are among offerings at the annual event.

Proceeds from the fund-raising event go to support the New Brunswick Elks, a charitable organization dedicated to helping children with special needs and to assisting veterans. The organization has nearly 450 members from New Brunswick and surrounding communities, including North Brunswick, Milltown, Highland Park and Franklin Township.
