UNION COUNTY – County officials are exploring options to lease two publicly-owned golf courses, according to a Union News Daily report.

Union County owns Galloping Hill Golf Course in Union and Ash Brook Golf Course in Scotch Plains, and hopes that leasing them to a private company will help it pay down debt taken on to build a $16 million clubhouse at Galloping Hill more quickly while continuing to realize some revenue from the facilities.
