ELIZABETH – A Harrison man was able to walk away from an accident that left his car upside down in the middle of Routes 1&9 in Elizabeth yesterday, according to a Star-Ledger report.

Johnny D. Gonzalez told the paper that he was driving north on the road when a tractor-trailer cut him off. Gonzalez said he swerved left, but his 1996 Cadillac STS went airborne after his tire hit the center median. The car struck a pole holding up a traffic signal and overturned, according to the report.
