LINDEN — Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery donated a “Big Check” to sponsor the 80th Annual New Jersey State Finals of the Diamond Gloves Boxing Tournament. This “Knock Out of an Evening” will be held at the Linden High School gymnasium on Oct. 4 at 8 p.m.
“The Bayway Refinery has been a staunch supporter of this event for many years, and through their sponsorship, we are able to present an enjoyable evening of championship amateur boxing entertainment. Most importantly, the event’s proceeds help support numerous and varied programs for the city’s youth, through the Linden Recreation Department,” said Tony Orlando, Linden Boxing Association founder.
Al Volpe, Linden Boxing Association president, added, “The Bayway Refinery has been a responsible corporate neighbor for many years, and their sponsorship, once again, plays a vital role in giving back to the city and its residents.” David Erfert, Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery manager agreed, “This donation shows our commitment to the community where we operate our business. We are pleased to be able to give something back to assist our Linden neighbors.”
