ELIZABETH – City officials plan to appeal a $2.4 million jury verdict awarded to a Linden man last week for injuries he sustained when a city truck hit the parked car he was sitting in, according to an NJ.com report.

Jesse Mickens, a 43-year-old warehouse picker, still can’t get through a day of work without enduring pain and discomfort more than three years after the accident, his attorney told NJ.com.
