MIDDLESEX COUNTY – For many kids, back-to-school season is an exciting time filled with shopping for new clothing, notebooks, backpacks and more. To help local children brighten up their back to school experience and have the supplies they need, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth & Middlesex Counties (BBBSMMC), is teaming up with Starbucks and other local businesses for their 13th Annual School Supply Drive.
The goal of the School Supply Drive is to collect donations of NEW backpacks and supplies from Monmouth & Middlesex County residents, businesses and other organizations and to then give generously filled backpacks to children in need.

Thanks to support from the community, last year’s event made it possible for 150 local children to have the supplies they needed to begin school” remarked William Salcedo, Executive Director of BBBSMMC. Backpacks full of donated school items will be distributed at a party hosted by the Monmouth Mall, Eatontown, for the children in the BBBSMMC program on Wednesday, August 21st and also at a soon to be determined location in Middlesex County.
