Salt-N-Pepa To Perform At State Theatre

NEW BRUNSWICK —State Theatre will present Salt-n-Pepa on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 8 p.m. Salt-n-Pepa’s hits include “Push It,” “Let’s Talk About Sex,” “Shoop,” and “Whatta Man.” Tickets range from $35-65.

Since the release of the multi-platinum album Hot, Cool, Vicious, over 25 years ago, Salt-n-Pepa (a.k.a. Cheryl James and Sandy Denton) have transformed and changed the face of hip-hop. With singles like, “Push It,” “Shake Your Thang,” “Shoop,” and “Whatta Man” Salt-n-Pepa have broken barriers and brought hip-hop to new levels. They were the first female rappers to ever receive a Grammy® and were also one of the first and few rappers to have ever performed on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
