Perth Amboy Police Arrest 3 Juveniles For BB Gun Violence

PERTH AMBOY – Police arrested three juvenile male suspects on Tuesday who allegedly shot at people and vehicles with BB guns in four separate incidents. The suspects, whose names were not released because of their ages, were charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, conspiracy, weapon unlawful possession, and weapon possession for an unlawful purpose and criminal mischief to a vehicle.

On Sunday, Aug. 4, two drivers told police that their car windows were damaged near the Route 440 ramp. On Tuesday, Aug. 6, a bicyclist reported being shot in the thigh on the 900 block of State Street. A truck driver also reported that his side cab window had been shattered.

Police established a perimeter and arrested the three juveniles in the area of Rudyk Park. Officers recovered two BB guns at the scene.
