Clark Police Blotter: July 23 – 29

July 23 at 11:37 a.m. – In the vicinity of Raritan Road and Madison Hill Road, police arrested Hillside resident Denise Creekmur, 49, on outstanding warrants totaling $7,024 from Hillside, Linden and the Union County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court. She was subsequently turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department. P.O. Joseph Teston was the Arresting Officer.

July 24 at 8:20 a.m.Police took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on the 200 block of Hawthorne Drive. The incident is under investigation. Det. Walter Merfert was the Investigating Officer.

July 24 at 11:40 a.m. - At Headquarters, police arrested Newark resident Juan Huertas, 50, for contempt of court. He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. P.O. Pedro Oliveira was the Arresting Officer.

July 24 at 11:28 p.m. - In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Clark resident Nancy Martinez, 36, who was charged with DWI. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. P.O. Miguel Acabou was the Arresting Officer.

July 28 at 2:46 a.m. –  In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue and Madison Hill Road, police arrested Rahway resident Nigel Morton, 20, on outstanding warrants totaling $566 from Rahway. He was subsequently turned over to the Rahway Police Department. P.O. Omer Olmeda was the Arresting Officer.

July 28 at 11:44 a.m.Police took a report of a burglary to an equipment shed at Madison Hill Road. The incident is under investigation. P.O. Joseph Mirabile was the Investigating Officer.

July 28 at 2:58 p.m.At 45 Central Avenue, police arrested Elizabeth resident Thomas Gurley, 23, who was charged with credit card fraud. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. Alex Yanes was the Arresting Officer.

July 29 at 12:41 p.m. –  In the vicinity of Raritan Road and Sunset Drive, police arrested Linden resident Troy Spann, 42, who was charged with shoplifting merchandise valued at $370.48 from the A&P Supermarket at 1060 Raritan Road. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. Antonio Manata was the Arresting Officer.
