“Introduction To Logistics” Available For Free To Area Employees

ELIZABETH – Union County College is offering an Introduction to Logistics course for free to employees in the TLD sector where 10 percent of all new jobs are found in New Jersey. The course is offered through the college’s Industry-Business Institute and will teach map reading, geography, world logistics issues, essential math and measurement, inventory and warehouse management, customs regulations for import and export, essential terms for logistics operations, and more. This is a 48-hour class.

This course is free to employees of New Jersey businesses. Registration is required in advance. The course will be held on Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. from Sept. 16 to Nov. 6. The course will be held at the college’s Elizabeth campus, located at 40 West Jersey Street.

Employers are encouraged to offer these classes to their employees as opportunities for professional development. Seating is limited and classes are already filling up.
