Aspiring Sports Broadcasters Visit MLB Network Studios

CLARK — Young people attending the 2013 Clark Recreation Sports Broadcasting Camp spent their week preparing for their two big assignments: hosting a six minute live sportscast show and calling play by play of a Somerset Patriots baseball game.

Local professional sportscasters, such as Ian Eagle of CBS Sports and the YES Network and Matt Loughlin of WFAN and the New Jersey Devils, visited the camp to speak to the students about the world of sports broadcasting and to lend their expertise.

The camp closed out the week visiting MLB Network studios in Secaucus to learn about a television studio and sports broadcasting in a professional working environment.
