STATE – Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver, one of four Democrats vying to become the party’s selection to run for U.S. Senate in a special election this fall, has launched a campaign website at www.SheilaOliver2013.com.
“I can’t rely on Wall Street fat cats to bankroll my campaign. I’m not from the same neighborhood as them. I don’t hang out with them. They’re not my friends,” said Oliver in a message to supporters notifying them of the new website. “My people are the working and middle class families of New Jersey who work day in and day out to make sure their children’s lives are a little bit better than theirs. That’s who I represent in Trenton, and that’s who I will represent in Washington, DC.”
The website includes information about Oliver’s positions on issues ranging from Social Security and Medicare to women’s rights, jobs and the economy and guns. It also includes links to Oliver’s social media profiles and pages for supporters to make contributions or sign up to volunteer.
