Man Burned By Elizabeth Car Fire

ELIZABETH – A man is being treated for second- and third-degree burns after a car caught fire in a vacant lot on Madison Avenue in Elizabeth this morning, according to an NJ.com report.

Firefighters completing a training exercise noticed a large column of smoke in the sky, according to the report. Two vehicles, a tan Mercedes station wagon and a silver van, were found on fire.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known, but a fire official did not believe it was suspicious according to the report.
