CARTERET – Port truck drivers at a Carteret firm have voted to join the Teamsters, according to an NJ.com report.
Seventy percent of the 112 long- and short-haul truckers who work for the Carteret office of Toll Global Forwarding, an Australian-based global logistics company, voted to join the union, according to the report.
The vote ended a contentious unionization drive at the location, with the union complaining that the firm had tried to intimidate organizers, though the company denied the allegations, the report said.
