STATE – Newark Mayor Cory Booker left an asset worth between $1 million and $5 million off of the original financial disclosure form he filed as part of his U.S. Senate campaign.
Booker is holding an investment in Waywire of New York, N.Y. in a trust that was inadvertently omitted from the candidate’s original personal wealth report, according to Kent Cooper of Roll Call.
The exact value of the asset is unknown because the Senate only requires the value of assets to be listed in ranges, not the actual amounts.
In his original disclosure released in May, Booker claimed assets worth between $222,000 and $730,000, according to the Bergen Record. The Newark Mayor also reported making more than $1.3 million in speaking fees since 2008, though he said he donated nearly $620,000 to charity.
