CARTERET — The borough will hold its annual Independence Day Festival tonight, July 3, at Veterans Pier and Carteret Waterfront Park.
The festival will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature live music, entertainment and food vendors, Mayor Dan Reiman announced. The fireworks display will set off after 9 p.m.
The Independence Day Festival is one of the borough’s most popular events so, Reiman advised residents to arrive early for some great patriotic fun.
Carteret will run shuttle buses to the waterfront from the Town Center Complex next the Library and Civic Center Park, from Minue School on Post Boulevard and from the Middle School on Carteret Avenue between 5-11 p.m.
