PLAINFIELD — Authorities are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 36-year-old Plainfield man, according to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office.
On Saturday, June 29, at approximately 5:45p.m., the Plainfield Police Department received a call about a man with a knife at an address on the 700 block of West Front Street. Prior to their arrival, police received another call about a man being stabbed at that location.
When they arrived, police found Ricardo Castro suffering from a stab wound. He was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 7:09 p.m.
The Union County Homicide Task Force and the Plainfield Police Department are investigating the events leading up to the stabbing and who is responsible, according to the prosecutor’s office.
