Information Session • July 3 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey are partnering to deepen the port’s main shipping channels to allow access to the world’s largest oceangoing container ships. Drilling and underwater blasting will begin in early July in the Arthur Kill Channel off Elizabeth. Elizabeth residents within a precautionary blast zone have been notified in writing and are invited to an information session at The Allstar, 153 3rd St., Elizabeth. This is not a public hearing.
