CRANFORD—Chris Messineo, director of the New Jersey Film School, will present a program on the films of Steven Spielberg entitled “Steven Spielberg: Through the Eyes of a Child” on Thursday, June 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cranford Community Center, located at 224 Walnut Avenue.
Messineo will illustrate how a great many of Spielberg’s films tell their stories from a child’s perspective by presenting scenes from Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T., Empire of the Sun, and Jurassic Park. Admission to the program is free and all are welcome.
The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library. This marks Messineo’s fifth visit to Cranford, where he also presented programs on Alfred Hitchcock, Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, film noir, and Woody Allen.
