Rahway Man Allegedly Threatened To Kill Passenger Before Swerving Into Building

LINDEN – A Rahway man allegedly threatened to kill a passenger in his car before pulling the emergency break, causing the vehicle to swerve off the road and into the glass façade of a building on North Stiles Street, according to an NJ.com report.

Juan Carlos Huertas-Ramirez, 45, was arrested Sunday and charged with assault by auto, harassment, DWI, leaving the scene of an accident, and reckless driving. He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway to be treated for leg and neck pain. His passenger refused treatment for her minor injuries, according to the report.

The charges against Huertas-Ramirez are merely accusations; he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
