LINDEN – Long Island University-Brooklyn track and field team member Mica-Jonathan Petit-Homme, a graduate from Linden High School concluded his first season with the Blackbirds by winning honorable mention All-America status in the 400-meter hurdles earlier this month.

Racing in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships national semifinals, the Linden native crossed the finish line in a time of 52.40, the second-best time of any freshman that qualified for nationals. The time, a shade under his previous best of 51.60 set on May 24 at the NCAA East Preliminary Meet, was good for 20th overall.
