Lauren Alaina To Appear At State Fair Meadowlands On June 29

EAST RUTHERFORD – State Fair Meadowlands today announced that NASH FM Radio will host State Fair’s First Annual Country Music Night on Saturday, June 29 at 6 p.m. The headline performer at the event will be Lauren Alaina, the CMA’s new Country Music Artist of the year, and first runner up in the tenth season of American Idol. The opening act will be Madeline Smith, a New Jersey native who is currently working on an album with Kent Wells, Dolly Parton’s producer.

The concert is free with entry ticket to the fair, which is $9 for those 13 and older and $7 for children 12 and younger and senior citizens. Children under 34” are admitted free. Lauren Alaina and Madeline Smith will be appearing on the American Stage. Appearing on the Main Stage will be Lacey Caroline, another New Jersey singer.

“Lauren Alaina is a rising star in country music and we’re thrilled that she’ll be performing for fairgoers this year,” said Michele Tartaglione, Managing Director of State Fair Meadowlands. “As country music makes its way back into the New York radio market, this is a great opportunity for fans to hear her, as well as New Jersey’s own Madeline Smith and Lacey Caroline, play live.”

State Fair Meadowlands runs June 21 through July 7 at the Meadowlands Fairgrounds, next to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. It is the largest fair in the New York metro area, with over 150 rides and attractions on over 35 acres of fairgrounds. Acres and acres of delicious food will be on offer.

Fair hours are Monday through Thursday, 6 pm to midnight; Fridays 6 pm to 1 am; Saturdays 2 pm to 1 am; Sundays 2 pm to midnight. On opening Dollar Preview Night, June 21, the fair is open 4 pm to 1 am. On Thursday, July 4, the fair is open 2 pm to 1 am, and on Friday, July 5 from 2 pm to 1 am. Parking is free Monday through Wednesday, and $4 Thursdays through Sundays, and July 3rd. Opening night, parking is just $1.

The fair will be offering free shuttle buses from/to Secaucus Junction Fridays 6 pm to midnight; Saturdays, 4 pm to midnight; Sundays, from 4 pm to midnight; July 3 from 6 pm to midnight; and July 4, from 4 pm to midnight. Visit for more information.
