RAHWAY — RWJ Rahway Foundation celebrated the unveiling of its 2013 Donor Recognition and Heritage Society Wall at the 7th Annual Celebration on Thursday, June 6.
“We are so pleased to recognize our donors whose support makes RWJ Rahway a better place to care for our patients, and a better place to provide health and wellness programs to the communities we serve,” said Marlene H. Lubinger, RWJ Rahway Foundation President.
“Everyone listed on our donor wall makes a difference for our Hospital,” Foundation Chairperson, Bunny Bowen said, adding her appreciation for their continued generosity and support.
“With the present healthcare reforms and reimbursements, the Hospital relies so much more on the generosity of our donors,” said Stephen Timoni, RWJ Rahway Board of Governors Chairman. Kirk C. Tice, Hospital President & CEO, reiterated how much these donations mean to the Hospital’s patients and the community.
The Wall recognizes more than $8 million in philanthropic support to the hospital since 2000, and also recognizes the Heritage Society members. The newest member, Dorothy Kitson, was memorialized by a gift from her husband, Michael.
Members of RWJ Rahway Foundation, the Board of Governors, and the Hospital’s leadership team welcomed donors from both the corporate and private sectors. The inscription on the Donor Recognition Wall reads: “The RWJ Rahway Foundation recognizes with gratitude the strong commitment, compassion and philanthropy of the many individuals, physicians, employees, corporations and foundations who through their generosity have helped to continue the more than 90-year tradition of healthcare excellence in our community.”
