EDISON — Middle School Latin and Spanish students at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison performed very well on their respective national examinations. These students recently received recognition during Middle School lunch periods.
Seventh-grade Sana Mansuri of Edison received special recognition for completing a perfect paper on her Latin I exam. Many of Lilah Terwilliger’s students received awards:
Summa Cum Laude (Gold medal) – Anuva Goel of Piscataway, Meghna Mehta of Piscataway
Maxima Cum Laude (Silver medal) – Deblina Mukherjee of Scotch Plains, Vicky Tumati of Iselin
Magna Cum Laude – Jake Payami of Scotch Plains
Cum Laude – Ellena Son of Woodbridge
Outstanding Achievement – Griffin Gonzalez of Rahway
Certificate of Achievement – Rohan Arvindh of Woodbridge, Hannah Yates of Piscataway, Raj Raval of South Plainfield
Middle School Spanish students earned a total of one gold, three silver and three bronze medals along with three honorable mentions. Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 156,000 students participating in 2013. Ms. Esther Faus was proud to announce her list of winners:
