Junebug ArtFest Postpones Opening Night Outdoor Events

METUCHEN — While the Junebug ArtFest has always been a “rain or shine” event, organizers have decided to postpone Friday night’s outdoor events in response to safety concerns caused by the predicted arrival of Tropical Storm Andrea. The postponed events will be rescheduled throughout the remaining three weeks of the Junebug ArtFest.

The following indoor activities will still take place on Friday, June 7:

  • “CONTINUUM 2013” Art Opening: 6:00 – 8:00 pm, VAM Art Gallery, 15 Station Place, Metuchen. “VAM Art, Inc. is pleased to invite you to their fifth international contemporary Art exhibition titled CONTINUUM 2013. This mixed media art exhibition brings together eight outstanding artists from USA, Canada, and Japan. All of the international artists have their own personal record of awards, honors, and global exhibition history in major juried shows and art events.”
  • Metuchen High School Art Exhibit – Final Viewing: 6:00 – 9:30 pm, Borough Hall Annex, 500 Main Street at Rt. 27.
  • Scott Gallagher High School Performances: 6:00 pm, Borough Improvement League (BIL), 491 Middlesex Avenue (Rt. 27). “High School performances with unforgettable, undeniable, musical awesomeness for your little one.”
  • OPEN MIC with Danny Adlerman: 6:00 -10:00 pm, To Be Continued Bookstore, 431 Main Street, Metuchen.
