WATCHUNG – Mount Saint Mary Academy’s Class of 2013, comprised of 62 seniors, graduated in a special ceremony on the school’s campus on Saturday, June 1. The graduating class included 41 members of the National Honor Society, 12 members of the Cum Laude Society, and two National Merit Commended Scholars.
“As a graduate about to become a freshman again, I feel confident–not scared,” said valedictorian Sibyl Medabelimi of Raritan. “The Mount was a place for me to grow freely into the young woman that I am meant to be. I think that is why I am not afraid of the future, because I know I will always carry a small piece of the Mount within me.”
“We are supremely proud of the graduating class and all they have achieved, both academically and personally,” said Mount Directress Sister Lisa Gambacorto. “These young women serve as shining lamps to the world around them. Their great accomplishments here are only the beginning; each is poised to shape the world for the better in her own special way.”
Mount Saint Mary Academy is a Catholic, independent school which provides a college preparatory education for young women in grades 9 through 12.
