Edison Announces 2013 Summer Playground Program

EDISON — The Edison Recreation Department announced that its Summer Playground Program for Edison Township children, ages 5 to 12 will run from July 1 through Aug. 9, Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (weather permitting).

A variety of activities will be held on the playgrounds for the children; including Arts & Crafts, Games, Trips and Special Events at the following locations: Capestro, Elder, Ellmyer, Lindquist, Menlo Park, Polansky, Stelton, Toth Complex, Woodbrook and Yelencsics. The Stelton Playground will be the only playground that can accommodate children with special needs. Parents should contact the Edison Recreation Office with any A.D.A. concerns.

Preregistration for the summer playground program will be held at the Recreation Office in the Municipal Complex, 100 Municipal Blvd. beginning June 3 and continuing until June 21. Registration for summer playgrounds will be held at each playground starting July 1. There is a $25 registration fee per child.
