St. Peter’s Prep Recognizes Achievements Of Union County Students

JERSEY CITY — Saint Peter’s Prep in Jersey City has recognized the following students for excellence in Modern and Classical Languages:

Berkeley Heights: Colin Carney, ’14, was inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society.

Cranford: Zachary Power, ’14, was inducted into the French National Honor Society. Sean Conheeney, ’14, was inducted into the Italian National Honor Society. Daniel Apicella, ’14 and Richard Larkin, ’14, were inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society. Michael Dombrowski, ’13, earned a Silver Medal in Latin IV and John Paradiso, ’13, earned Magna Cum Laude in Latin IV.

Fanwood: James Wright, ’16, earned Cum Laude in Latin I.

Mountainside: Andrew Dellechiaie, ’15, earned a Gold Medal in Latin II.

New Providence: Brian Toner, ’13, received the Maureen O’Donnell Oxford Classical Dictionary Award. This is given to students who win four gold medals in recognition of their outstanding achievement over the course of their high school careers. Matthew Brown, ’14, was inducted into the French National Honor Society.

Rahway: Duran Gonzalez, ’16, earned a Gold Medal in Latin I.

Scotch Plains: Matthew Giardiello, ’14, was inducated into the Italian National Honor Society. Benjamin MacMillan, ’16, earned a Silver Medal in Latin I. David Clancy, ’16, earned Magna Cum Laude in Latin I. Cum Laude in Latin was awarded to Joseph Ponterdolph, ’15 for Latin II and Nicholas Giardiello, ’16, for Latin I.

Springfield: Anthony Alaimo, ’16, earned Cum Laude in Latin I.

Summit: William Delaney, ’16, earned a Gold Medal in Latin I. Joseph Abruzzo, ’15, earned Cum Laude in Latin II.

Union: Drew Casey, ’13, Daniel Navarro, ’14, and Carlton Matara, ’14, were inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society. Drew Casey also earned Magna Cum Laude on the Latin IV National Examination.

Westfield: Emmet Flanigan, ’14, Conor Finn, ’14, and Conor Gelson, ’14, were inducted into the National Spanish Honor Society. William Fitzpatrick, ’16, earned a Silver Medal in Latin I. Christopher Lee, ’15, earned Cum Laude in Latin II.
