LINDEN — Summer Reading Club registration has already started at the Linden Library. Children can sign up in the Children’s Room. Then, all they have to do is read books, and win prizes. Children who complete the whole program, will be invited to the Celebration Party in August. The theme for this year’s Club is “Dig Into Reading,” so featured stories will be about things found underground: dinosaurs, mummies, pirate treasure, gems, and plants.

The Wednesday morning session (10 to 10:45 a.m.) of the Terrific Toddlers has openings for new children, ages seven months to four years.

For children who live in Linden, the library will have two children’s music concerts to open and close the Summer Program. Registration is required for the music concerts, but the tickets are free. There are still tickets available for the opening concert with Kurt Gallagher on June 25. Watch for information about the final concert that will be held on Tuesday, August 6. A parent or guardian must come in person to register each child, but the child does not have to be present.

These programs are intended for children who are at home for the summer. Please do not bring organized groups, ex., camps, pre-schools, or day-care groups to register. For more information, pick up a Summer Program flyer at the library, 31 East Henry Street off Wood Avenue, or e-mail Children’s Librarian Karen Gray at kgray@lindenpl.org
