CRANFORD—Electric violinist Caryn Lin will appear at the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue, on Wednesday, May 29, at 7:30 p.m.
Lin will begin her program by performing a simple Bach minuet on a traditional acoustic violin. She will then use the five string electric violin and sound effects to transcend her “solo” sound by “looping”—that is, by creating sound loops live that she adds to and embellishes, playing in essence, live duos and trios with herself.
Admission is free and all are welcome. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library.
