[PHOTO] Huddled Up For Fun

WOODBRIDGE — This year was the first year that the YMCA at the Woodbridge Community Center participated in NFL Flag, the first association-wide flag football league within the YMCA of MEWSA (Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge & South Amboy). The Woodbridge Y was represented this season by two teams-the Woodbridge Browns and the Woodbridge Cardinals, coached by Frank Sidoti and Brendan Wagner. Teams practiced the entire month of March, with the season officially kicking off on April 7. Games were played each Sunday up until May 12. Both teams finished the season with winning records of 4-2, with the Cardinals advancing to the playoffs. Playoff and championship games are scheduled for Sunday, May 19th, beginning at noon.
