Elizabeth Church To Celebrate Pastor’s 25th Anniversary

ELIZABETH — The Union Baptist Church Family of Elizabeth will honor Reverend R. Lenton Buffalo, Jr., and Sister Cheryl L. Buffalo as they celebrate 25 years as pastor, first lady and people.  A grand celebration will be held at The Parsippany Sheraton Hotel, Parsippany on Saturday, June 8.

The anniversary celebration will culminate on Sunday, June 9, with two worship services. The guest preacher for the 10:45 a.m. service will be Reverend Rodney T. Francis, pastor of The Washington Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church of St. Louis, Mo.  The guest preacher for the 4 p.m. service will be Reverend Dr. J. Wendell Mapson, Jr., pastor of The Monumental Baptist Church, Philadelphia, Pa., who will be accompanied by his choir and congregation.

The public is invited to share in this celebration by worshipping with the church community.
