CLARK — Valley Road Elementary School in Clark recently held a Variety Show featuring many of its students from grades ranging from Kindergarten through fifth grade. They played musical instruments, hula hooped, danced, sang, and performed comedy.
Students not only performed on stage, but behind the scenes as well. Fourth grade students Michelle Kukan and Sara Hilton played a large role in getting the show underway by working as stage crew members for the night’s performances. Many parents, families, friends, and staff members all came out to support all the talented young artists.
Before the special night started, a special thank you was given by Principal Joseph Beltramba to the VRS teachers Miss Stafford and Miss Kelleher as well as Parent Volunteer Mrs. Baglieri for sponsoring and producing the main event.
Students who performed in the show received special “goodie bags” at the end of the night, with special coupons for free treats from nearby businesses who were all too happy to make a donation for the school event. The students received gift coupons for: Ritas, Linden Lanes, QuickChek, Burger King, 7 Eleven and a balloon from Investor’s Bank.
