RAHWAY – The RWJ Rahway Foundation’s annual Rose Ball gala fundraiser was a success, according to organizers.

“The Rose Ball rocked with costumed guests from ‘Elton John’ to ‘Cyndi Lauper’,” said Christine Kline, Rose Ball Committee Chairman, “and the event netted $110,000 for RWJ Rahway’s ICU renovation and refurbishment.”

The event honored 2013 Order of the Rose recipient, Annette Catino, President & CEO, QualCare, Inc. and 2013 Guardian of the Rose recipient, Brian P. Leddy, Hospital Board of Governors member and past Chairman, for their long-time dedication, commitment and philanthropic support to RWJ Rahway.

Catino praised RWJ Rahway for its excellent healthcare services to the community. She and her family have had a long-time personal and professional relationship with the Hospital.

Brian Leddy was truly honored to be the recipient of the Guardians of the Rose.   He thanked the Foundation for their hard work and dedication in their fund raising efforts on behalf of RWJ Rahway, and stressed the importance of the hospital to its patients and the community.

The Foundation thanked the many special sponsors who supported the event, including Rose Rocks Sponsors, QualCare, Inc.; Diamond Diva Sponsors, Northfield Bank, Rahway.

The annual Rose Ball Super 50/50 Raffle reached almost $18,000 and the lucky first prize winner received over $4,400.  “The Rose Ball Committee would especially like to thank our hospital family, Board members, Medical/Dental staff members, and community residents who supported our gala,” said Marlene H. Lubinger, RWJ Rahway Foundation President.
