Perth Amboy Police Arrest Burglary Suspect

PERTH AMBOY – Police arrested a 35-year-old Perth Amboy man who is accused of trying to burglarize a Pine Street home on Wednesday morning.

Carlos Noel Rolon is charged with attempted burglary and resisting arrest. Perth Amboy police were dispatched to Pine Street to investigate a report of a burglary in progress at 9:09 a.m. on May 1. Following an investigation, Detective Liza Capo stopped Rolon for questioning, but the suspect ran away. Officer John Wonski apprehended and arrested Rolon.

Judge Maria Del Valle-Koch set bail at $35,000 with no 10 percent option. Rolon also had a warrant out of Newark for $5,000.

The charges against Rolon are merely accusations; he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
