CRANFORD — Who said Thanksgiving is only in November? For the United Way of Greater Union County (UWGUC) and two other charities, Thanksgiving is also in the spring.
As a gesture of “Thanks” to its patients and to the community, Vanguard Medical Group will donate, to a local charity, $10 per guest (up to $5,000) attending their 10thAnniversary Open House Celebration on Saturday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests may choose one of three charities: United Way of Greater Union County Hurricane Sandy Community Recovery Fund; the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-New Jersey Metro Chapter; or Cranford High School Class of 2013-Project Graduation.
“Giving back to our community in celebration of our 10th Anniversary makes perfect sense to us. We consider our patients a part of our family, and we would like them to celebrate with us as we support our local community and those families most affected by the super storm. Not to single them out, but we included the United Way as one of the charities because of their targeted efforts in our local community,” said Robert Eidus, M.D., President of Vanguard Medical Group and founder of the Cranford practice.
The event is free, and guests will enjoy a Thanksgiving Day themed reception, as they are welcome by the staff, including Dr. Eidus, Dawn Howell, FNP-BC, and the newest member of the Cranford team, Matthew Giangrante, M.D. Guests will receive complimentary blood pressure screenings, giveaways, and pedometers, and preview “Americans In Motion — Healthy Interventions.” Also, moms will receive roses in honor of Mother’s Day (while supplies last).
Vanguard Medical Group of Cranford is located at 123 N. Union Avenue, Suite 204, Cranford. Parking is available in Cleveland Plaza. For additional information or RSVP, call 908-272-7990.
