CLARK – Frank K. Hehnly Elementary School held its annual Arbor Day Program on April 26. The entire student body participated on the front lawn. Student council representatives opened the ceremony by leading the school with the flag salute, singing “America the Beautiful”, accompanied by music teacher Jamey Vavra, and then reading poems about trees. Each class had one student assist with the ceremonial planting of the new landscaping, donated by the PTA. The program closed with the students and teachers singing “This Land is Our Land”.
