[PHOTO] Valley Road Students Celebrate Earth Day

CLARK — Students in Jackie Grigoli’s Class at Valley Road School in Clark celebrated Earth Day. The class watched videos, sang songs, and read poems and books about the Earth and why we celebrate Earth Day. Students discussed and learned about many ways they can help protect and save our Earth such as: recycling, picking up litter, preserving water, planting trees, and protecting wildlife. ┬áStudents made Earth Day headbands to wear around the school to show their support. Each student also painted a picture of the earth on wax paper that was then placed in the windows of our classroom to give a stained glass effect.
