SPRINGFIELD — Paul and Andrea Valerius, missionaries to the inner city, will visit Calvary Assembly of God for the church’s monthly “Missionary Sunday” on April 28 at 6 p.m. They are affiliated with City Hope Ministry, a non-profit Christian organization dedicated to serving the spiritual and material need of urban people in Newark and the greater metropolitan area.
Rev. Paul Valerius became director in 2000 and has planted two additional churches in Newark as well as opening the Mighty Oaks Learning Center. City Hope is committed to affecting redemptive change and offering hope in neighborhoods plagued by crime, poverty and unemployment.
Calvary Assembly of God is located at 242 Shunpike Road, Springfield.
