Elizabeth Men Arrested After Allegedly Trying To Sell Heroin Via Craigslist

NASSAU COUNTY, N.Y. — Detectives in Nassau County, N.Y. arrested two local men in a heroin sting operation that began with a Craigslist ad.

Police said Daniel Bigelow, 23, and Gustavo Arce-Giron, 26, both of Elizabeth, placed a notice on Craigslist advertising “pain relief” for sale.

Undercover detectives contacted the suspects and arranged a meeting to purchase 40 bags of heroin for an agreed upon amount of cash.

Bigelow and Arce-Gironmet met with detectives at a location on South Oyster Bay Road in Bethpage, N.Y. where they were found to be in possession of said amount of heroin, said police who placed them under arrest.

Bigelow and Arce-Giron are being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance, according to police. As with all criminal suspects, they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
