ELIZABETH – The 8th Annual Golf Tournament to benefit St. Mary of the Assumption High School in Elizabeth will be held on Monday, June 24, at the Glenwood Country Club, Old Bridge.  There will be a shotgun start at noon; registration begins at 10 a.m.  The $150 per person entry fee includes lunch, golf with cart, dinner and prizes.  To register or sponsor, contact Joanne Shigo at 1-908-352-4350.

Since 1930, St. Mary’s has been providing a Catholic education to the children of Elizabeth and the surrounding communities.  St. Mary’s is supported solely by tuition and fundraisers.  Most of the school’s students come from working-class families; many will be the first to graduate high school and go on to college.  The Golf Classic will directly benefit St. Mary’s students.
