JACKSON — Six Flags Great Adventure will host the seventh annual Walk with Ronald May 5. Kids of all ages will gather for a statewide “kids helping kids” walk-a-thon to benefit the Ronald McDonald Houses (RMH) of New Jersey.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the walk will step off promptly at 9 a.m. on Main Street and will conclude by 9:30 a.m. The event will feature special guests Marvin Austin of the New York Giants and singer Gloria Gaynor. Participants will enjoy exclusive ride time on select rides in the Boardwalk area before Six Flags Great Adventure opens to the public. Children who raise at least $50 and adults who raise at least $75 will receive complimentary admission to the theme park after the walk. Guests can visit http://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure for more information and to pre-register.
The Ronald McDonald Houses of New Jersey in Long Branch and New Brunswick offer a “home away from home” for families with sick children undergoing medical treatment in area hospitals. All proceeds from Walk with Ronald will be donated to RMH in support of their mission to help family members to stay together in comfortable, private rooms.
