Thieves Take $100,000 Worth Of Hamburger Patties

LINDEN — Police are investigating the theft of a 40-foot refrigerated shipping container that held $100,000 worth of hamburger patties bound for the Netherlands.

Linden Police officers responded to BMG Logistics on West Edgar Road to investigate the container theft on Tuesday. The owner told officers that the container, stored on a 2006 trailer with a California license plate 4HR1817, was taken sometime between 8 p.m. on April 8 and 10 a.m. on April 9.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on this theft to contact Det. Frank Leporino at 1-908-474-8537.
