Middlesex County College Softball Players Honored

EDISON — Two players from the Middlesex County College softball team received honors for the week of April 1-7.

Elizabeth Gratta  of South Plainfield was named National Pitcher of the Week as she won four games, pitching 26 innings and striking out 18. She boasts a 2.40 earned run average in a season total of 67 innings.

Cindy Pydeski  of Colonia was named Garden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week as the Colts went 8-0. She hit three of her seven home runs that week, bringing in 18 runs and scoring 11.

Middlesex is now 17-1 in the conference, 19-3 overall, and ranked 10th in the nation.
